The Department of Mechanical Engineering develops scientific and professional knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, through teaching, research and outreach activities. It focuses on three functional areas: Solid Mechanics and Projects; Thermofluids, Mechanical Processes and Production; and Computational Mechanics.
